Snap · parse · prime cost · price watch — by Heard Management

Your prime cost shouldn't be a month-end surprise.

Food plus labor, the two lines that decide whether a busy night was a profitable one. Snap the invoice at the door. See the price jump by lunch. Know the number tonight — not in six weeks.

What is SavorVitals and what does it cost?

SavorVitals is restaurant cost intelligence for independents — AI invoice parsing in seconds with a human confirm, same-day prime cost against your targets, a vendor price watch with per-plate impact, menu engineering, and alerts that show their math. There is no standalone SavorVitals subscription: invoice capture is included with any Savor Base module at $9.99 a venue a month, and the full cockpit is included in Savor Suite Premium at $49.99 a month per tenant, flat — the whole suite for about a seventh of MarginEdge alone. We built these for our own hospitality venues. They already run our dining rooms, taprooms, and event nights every day.

You already know the pain.

You learn your food cost three to six weeks after the month closes — from an accountant, a spreadsheet, or never.

Vendor prices creep a dollar at a time. You feel it only when the P&L lands.

A dish can lose money quietly for a year. Nothing on the POS will tell you.

It already knows your labor. Link a dish and it knows the plate too.

SavorVitals reads SavorCrew's actual daily labor and SavorBanquet's event P&L on the same backbone — no export, no integration project. Link a menu item to its Heard Recipes plate and its cost keeps itself current too. If you run none of those yet, the invoice pipeline alone delivers the price watch and food-cost trend from day one.

A fraction of the price. Published.

MarketMan starts at $199 a month with a $1,500 setup fee and a 12-month lock. MarginEdge is $350. SavorVitals comes with Savor Suite Premium — $49.99 a month for the whole suite, published, monthly, cancel any time. Snapping invoices starts at $9.99 with any Savor module.

Questions operators ask first.

What does 'same-day prime cost' actually require?

Confirmed invoices for food, labor from SavorCrew's actual punches or your own daily entry, and the day's sales from a POS CSV or typed in. That's it — the number computes nightly, drawn against your target band, and every figure expands to its derivation.

What happens when I hit my parse bundle?

Capture never stops. Past your allowance it's 25¢ a parse, or a bundle — 100 for $9, 300 for $24, 1,000 for $70 — with rollover, a live meter, alerts at 80% and 100%, and a hard cap if you want one. A failed parse is never billed.

Do I need a POS integration?

No. Toast, Square, and Clover CSV exports work today, the generic template covers the rest, and you can type a day in by hand. Direct connectors come later; the math is the same either way.

Do I have to do weekly counts?

No. Invoices alone give you trustworthy trends. Counts are accuracy when you want it, not homework.

What if I don't use SavorCrew or Heard Recipes?

The invoice pipeline alone delivers the price watch and food-cost trend from day one. Enter daily labor by hand for prime cost, and cost dishes manually for menu engineering — the sister apps just remove the typing.

Is there a contract?

No contract, no setup fee. Monthly, cancel any time effective at period end — and the price you sign up at is locked for life.
